Dear All,
Please inform how to include in the report the sum of several peak areas. I've tried making groups, but in the end I couldn't build the proper calibration.
Example: Chromatogram with 6 peaks
I make a calibration assuming all the response factors as 1 in order I can get %.
I would like to have in the report the % sum of peaks A and B and the %sum of C,D,E and F. This is what I can't include in the report.
I'm looking forward to hear it from you.
Regards,
José

Dear Jose,
1) to get a sum of areas/heights of several peaks in chromatogram you need to add them to appropriate groups using the Chromatogram window command Chromatogram, Peaks, Peak Groups. The groups are distinguished by alphabet letters and are part of integration table. Peak can be in one group only. Without calibration, the groups will be listed in the Results table, giving the respective Area, Height and %Area, %Height columns results for the groups below the individual peaks. Please note, for the total line calculation the groups are summed first and only then the peaks not belonging to any group are added.
2) the (integrated) groups can be added to the calibration file and calibrated as any other peak, i.e. the amount and name can be assigned to the group and multi level calibration curve can be constructed. A manually entered response factor can be used alternatively (the calibration curve type must be set to Free in this case).
best regards
