A question about Scale Factor

Hi:
I have some question about Scale Factor.In the calibration,we can choose "use Scale Factor",And when we modify the value of Scale Factor,the Amount column in the Result table will change."Use Scale Factor"is optional,But when should we choose "Use Scale Factor"or modify the value of Scale Factor?

Scale Factor is a factor multiplying the calculated values in the Amount column in Result table. It is Method specific (the same for all samples processed by the method). It could be used to amend the units defined in the Calibration Options (hence the Units after Scaling) or to apply any method specific correction factor to the results.

Similar is a Dilution in the Sample Header - it performs the same, but is sample specific.
