gas sampling sequence

Post by manuelgregori »

Good morning,

basicly I'm not able to start a sequence on a 7890B equipped with a gas sampling valve.
The software continuely request me to push the GC start button, for any single analysis
Any ideas?

Dear Manuel,
to run a sequence without an autosampler please refer to the FAQ
https://www.dataapex.com/faq.php?dokument=146

For 7890B, the virtual digital input output loop auxiliary needs to be configured as Ready Out and Start In in System Configuration. In case the old Agilent 7890 GC driver is used, it is necessary also to select the option "Clarity Starts this Device" in the Agilent 7890 Setup, Signals tab in System, Configuration. Such settings are not needed for the new Agilent ICF GC control.

The actual injection is performed by activating the gas valve from the GC method time table.

Thank you for your assistance,

I wrote an email to the support contact because digital input / output are not selectable, sliding menus are disabled.

You need to add the virtual digital input output loop auxiliary (from the available control modules) and configure the same number as Ready Out and Start In in System Configuration.
