error 2000 Setup time program

Dear all,

I'm fairly new to Clarity VA as well as this forum.
I have following error atm:
'Chromaster CM5160 LC 1 (SN...): SetupTimeProgram: Parameter Error (CM 51x0 Pump)'

I encountered this error, multiple times already, when trying to 'Purge...' the tubings of our HPLC system with solvents. They are regular solvents we use.

It's probably something stupid, but it would be nice if I can prevent this in the future ;)

Kind regards,
Evelyne

Dear Evelyne,

this is an error introduced in ClarityVA version 7.4.0.75, fixed in the current release 7.4.1.88.
Due to a bug in the control dll, the 5160 pump wrongly rejects maximum pressure set over 40 MPa.
Update is available directly from ClarityVA (when connected to internet) or through Hitachi approved ClarityVA distributors.

Best regards
Ivan Vins

Hmm... I have done an upgrade of the software to version 7.4.1.95 (which is the most recent). But I still get the error...

Dear Evelyn,

in such case we will need the diagnostic files

C:\ClarityVA\CFG\clarityVA.cfg
C:\ClarityVA\CFG\clarityVA.dsk
C:\ClarityVA\CFG\systeminfo.txt
C:\ClarityVA\CFG\others.ini
C:\ClarityVA\CFG\DebugLogs\badtrace.txt and all *.dmp files (may not be present, they are created during some problems only)
C:\ClarityVA\CFG\Audit_Trails\ *.audit for the days the problem appeared
files related to the problem located in the C:\ClarityVA\DataFiles
•method (*.met)

and communication record created after adding a section to

C:\ClarityVA\CFG\commdrv.ini

[Chromaster 1]
echo=ON
textmode=ON
filename=Chromaster1_%D.txt
reset=OFF

and ClarityVA restart.

You mentioned the Purge dialogue - arent you trying to set the flow above 5 ml/min?

Okay, where can I find them, and send them to?
No, settings were 0,200ml/min; Solvent A: 30%, Solvent B 70%; Max pressure 250 bar

The files are on your computer hard disk (replace C:\ClarityVA\ with your actual ClarityVA installation directory

Please amend the commdrv.ini file, start ClarityVA and invoke the error before sending the files including the communication record

C:\ClarityVA\CFG\DebugLogs\Chromaster1_yyyy_mm_dd.txt

The files should be sent to support@dataapex.com

Note the error is rather generic when sending the pump time program fails for any reason.

Another possibility will be disabling the solvents in LC Gradient options - Clarity sends parameters only for enabled solvents, in case the pump stores non-zero values for the disabled ones, total may exceed 100%.
