User column inconsistent after upgrading to 7.4

Post by marcojfelix »

Hi guys,

After uypgradint our previous version 7 or 7 to any 7.4, the user column presented strage behaviour. Sometimes the value calculated in our formula does not show correct value, sometimes the column does not show any number. When moving up or down the order of the columns, the value also changes....so crazy.
After pressing "Restore default columns", we created again the same user columns with the same formulas, and then the problem seems to be corrected.
We are afraid of upgrading the other workstions we have in the lab, and I don´t know if this is gonig to repeat with other users dsk.
Can you please check this problem ?

Hi guys, only to confirm the problem remains when changing users or going to offline (see attached screen shot), you have to select Restore default columns to correct the problem. So I can not upgrade the other stations here because it will create a problem in the lab, several users will confuse everyone here. We will wait for this bug fix.

Another thing, it is not possbile to copy and paste the integration table from chromatogram view to method, is that true ? Why is that ? It was very useful for us because we used to work on the chromatogram and then copy the integration table to the method......not possible anymore :(

Dear Marco,

unfortunately this is a consequence of a bug fix for the user columns in summary table made in version 7.4, to ensure correct mathing of the columns used in formulas independent of current summary table layout. The user columns defined in desktops created in version 7.3 and older could not be restored correctly as the respective info was not stored (the columns were referenced to current layout, not to the column ID),

The Restore Default Columns and reentering the formulas is the only remedy, there will be no fix in future.

As for the copy/paste in integration table, it was disabled in version 7.4 due to the frequent errors caused by this operation. It may be a temporary, until we will be able to fix the problems causing the errors. Recomended procedure to copy the integration table from chromatogram to the template method is using the Method, Save as template command.
