export data

Dear Sirs,
I have to export chromatograms results in a data base file. I need only 1
file for a number of chromatograms in order to check the results obtained
with an autosampler, at the end of the work, without opening all the
chromatograms. I selected ‘export data’ in ‘post-run setting’ and, for the
first chromatogram, ‘dBase file’ in ‘export data’. From the second
chromatogram on, I opened that file in ‘export data’ and selected ‘append’.
I think that this is correct but I can’t get a file with all the results one
after the other: every time an acquisition finishes, its results are
overwritten on the previous ones.

Dear Elena,

unfortunately this is a property of the export to the dbf format. We will amend the Data export window to make it clear in the settings. You can use the *.txt export with Append option to get the results to a single document. The Headers option will include the column headers (repeatedly for each chromatogram) and the Full format option will precede each line of the result tables with filename, date and time, thus enabling easy sorting.

Dear Elena,

the append option for *.dbf exported files is functional in the Clarity version 2.4.1.87 currently available on our web pages. Please note, the name of the exported file must be specified, otherwise new file will be created for each chromatogram exported.
