agilent connection to HP5890 II

Dear DataApex support,
I'm having problem with communication between Clarity and HP5890 II GC. I followed the installation process from 'getting started' and once I got to clarity configuration to add GC and detector, I clicked on the auto detect button and always get the 'HP5890 is not connected' message. I'm not sure what to do and I hope you guys can help me out, many thanks in advance.
