multicalibration

Post by jharder »

Hi,
we use since January Clarity and wanted to have a dual detector
calibration. Based on our knowledge, we think that the Clarity programme
has only one retention time per compound in the calibration. However,
the detectors run one after the other and hence there is a delay in the
retention time for the second detector. This limitation to one retention
time per compound hampers the establishment of a multi detection
calibration. Is there a solution to the problem - how to give a compound
on two detectors two retention times or how to subtract the delay time
from the retention times of the compounds from the second detector?

Hallo

This issue is addressed by the function "Detector Delay" in the method in which you will enter the time shift between the two detectors.

It can be set in the Integration table of the template method - (Method Setup - Integration dialog).
This function is available only on the signal that is configured as second. So it is necessary to select the second signal while you are in the Method Setup - Integration window using the "Select Detector" list box.

For the already measured chromatograms you can enter the Detector Delay in the Chromatogram window interactively using the "Chromatogram - Integration - Detector Delay" menu command or by switching to Integration tab and entering it to integration table.
Again keep in mind that the second signal must be active.
