Problems with installation

I've got the Clarity offline to help my customers, so that they can send me their data.
Just after installing, I copied a customer's folder into the Clarity folder, created the appropriate project and tried to open a chromatograph.
Every data access lasts approx. 2 minutes. (project/chromatograph...)
So I deinstalled Clarity and deleted all Clarity folders and also cleaned the registry by hand (all Clarity, Clarity_Demo and Dataapex entries).
Then I installed clarity again, and startet just with the Demo folders. - The same!!
By scanning the activities, Clarity has 98% CPU load and is communicating with the explorer (no CPU load).
I also tried the Sentinel issue - no effect.
I don't have any ideas any more.
Every help appreciated
Thanks
Rainer

This is rather strange - please send the diagnostic files
c:\clarity\clarity.cfg
c:\clarity\clarity.dsk
c:\clarity\systeminfo.txt
c:\clarity\badtrace.txt and all *.dmp files (may not be present, they are created during some problems only)
c:\clarity\log\ *.audit for the days the problem appeared
chromatogram (.prm), method (.met) and sequence (*.seq) files related to the problem
to
clarity@dataapex.com
I will guess such problems could be caused:
excesive number of chromatograms in the project (more than several thousands)
link to a calibration file on unacessible network site
attempt to connect to the instrument used to acquire chromatogram (a possible bug in an instrument driver)
The mentioned files will help me to found out the reason quickly

Thanks Ivan,
the requested files are on their way.
But at last I have just instlled Clarity offline as it came.
The problem persists even with the Demo folders , with nothing else changed

Hi again,
Ivan Vins wrote:

as posted before its just the blank install
Ivan Vins wrote:attempt to connect to the instrument used to acquire chromatogram (a possible bug in an instrument driver)
Its clarity offline, I cannot connect to an instrument.
During installation I had to choose "other" for the Interfaces

In the meantime I installed Clarity offline onto my notebook. (After mirroring the disk
)
The installation went well, the program runs fine, too.
During the installation on my desktop, I cannot remember to have seen the final screen:
Anything like "what do you want to do next?"
Can it be, that the installation isn't complete?
Can it be, because there had been a copy of Clarity_Demo before - even when I deinstalled it.
I don't think that the deinstallers work correctly, especially at the Clarity Demo there had been some error messages during deinstall. Like cannot find xxx.xx.
Also all registry entries were still there after deinstall.
So, is there a registry cleaner available - and what files on disk has to be removed
also some drivers?
I'd like to have a clean system, then I'll try again.

Unless you have installed the Clarity Offline to the same directory as the previous Clarity DEMO, there should not be any conflicts.
The uninstaller may not work correctly in case a reinstallation was done without uninstallation before - only the last installed files will be uninstalled. The same may happen in case the installation was not finished succesfully.
One suggestion will be to install Clarity with the full option selected, uninstall it and then reinstall the desired configuration.
Other way will be to delete the Clarity installation directory and delete the entire HKey_LocalMachine\SOFTWARE\DataApex section from the registers and then perform clean installation.
No need to say I was not able to reproduce the behaviour here

Back once again.
It should be a hardware issue, because.....
I mirrored the whole Disk to another system, and it worked fine until Microsoft stopped windows working and urged me to reactivate it.
then I installed it on the new PC, and it works fine.
THX for your help.
