I would like to ask you which algorithm is used for detecting negative peak in Clarity? Is it just like the method of detecting positive peak or other especial data process method?

thank you!

To detect negative peaks, you need to set the Detect Negative operation from the Chromatogram, Integration menu. In case this operation is not active, the baseline is forced through the lowest chromatogram points. The same Peak Width and Threshold parameters are then used to detect negative peak starts and peak ends as for positive peaks. As some of the subsequent operations may not function well for the negative peaks, it is recommended to invert the signal in case the chromatogram contains mostly negative peaks. DataApex A/D boards and some detector control modules supports this option in their System Configuration Setup window.
