Installation problems

Hello:

I just tried to install the Clarity C50 version 2.3.0.174 with GC module 11-30142+GC, 1 Instr.
I found the following problems.

1. After installation and configuration of the Agilent 6890A GC (with 1 FID, digital acquisition) the Satus BAr on the Instrument Window reads "Waiting". Clicking on the Analysis Monitoring icon opens the chromatogram window and on can observe the signal advancing on time and there is a response if I change some parameter on the FID (i.e H2 flow). However this signal trace sops or dissapears the moment the Start button on the 6890 (or the RUN button on the Analysis Start/Stop window) is pushed. The Status Bar changes to "Run" instead of "Running" with the ellapsed time showing.

The Analysis Start/Stop window shows active the Run and Abort buttons, but not the Stop button.

This GC was up to today connected to an 3396 Integrator with INET cables, which were disconnected prior to installing the Clarity software.

Please advise, what is missing in the installation? or What am I doing wrong?

Hello Guillermo,
unfortunately in the version 2.3.0.174 is a bug related to number of
6890 detectors.
Briefly: In case of single detector 6890 configuration, the Clarity
can't consist of two detectors configuration.
Please:
1. Open Clarity "System Configuration" dialog and remove the "Detector 2
Agilent 6890/6850" item from the right list.
or
2. Download the latest version 2.3.0.182 (or ask us for sending the
Install CD free of charge). Described bug has been corrected in this
version.

Note: Regardless of this bug IT IS NOT POSSIBLE to start 6890 by Clarity
Run button in Single Analysis mode. You must start it by Start button on
the 6890.

We put a strong effort to test whole Clarity system. We guess we have
reached extremely high reliability of main Clarity modules.
However a testing of control modules belongs to the most difficult and
time consuming task.
There is plenty of devices, plenty of configurations and plenty of
versions...
Please discuss each demand for direct control with us individually. We
will tell you real situation and our risk estimation.
