Error on DDS_1000

Good morning,

I want a suggest on a problem on "DDS 1000" board.
A customer work well with this (old) board but sometimes appears an error on display : "csw.exe errors", and after this error he is forced to restart the software.
I suggested to reinstall the software.
But if you have any suggestions there would be grateful.

Dear Andrea,

DDS 1000 (CSW1.7) is no more supported, the upgrade to the current software version is usually the preferred remedy. However, in case the station was working correctly for some period of time and then some problems started to appear, the simple reinstallation will usually not help.

The problems may originate from faulty hardware, damaged system files (they are not replaced during reinstallation by default) or some computer related problems.

The screenshots of the error messages and their relation to some specific actions (zooming in a window, opening of chromatogram, printing, analysis start) may be useful to narrow the possible causes.

During reinstallation, it will be recommended to replace the configuration and system files (rename the current directory, install to a (empty) default directory and create the configuration and user preferences from the defaults. You can then copy the methods and sequences from the backup.

The computer maintenance (check hard disk for free space and fragmentation, check the operation memory for unnecessary running programs and viruses) is also recommended.
