Dear sir/madam,
I acquired a chromatogram in Clarity and exported the data to an .xls/.txt
file. Data acquisition rate 10Hz (10 points per sec), duration of analysis
15 min. I expected to export 9000 points (15min*60sec*10pts/sec), but a
maximum of 4500 points (corresponding to 5Hz data acquisition rate) was
exported by Clarity. I checked the data rate acquisition in Clarity and it
was set to 10Hz. The time step which I set for export was also sufficiently
low, 0.0001 min (time step for 10 Hz in minutes should be 0.00167 min). What
could be the reason why Clarity only exports 4500 points in stead of the
expected 9000 points.
Kind Regards,

export of data
Dear Margery,
the reason is following. You probably export the data by command File -
Export - Export Data which exports already processed data not raw data.
The number of currently used points depends not only on acquisition rate
but on Peak Width parameter mainly. Because this parameter works as a
bunching factor as well.
There are two possibilities how to export all originally acquired
points:
1. either try to decrease Peak Width parameter below 0,07 min.
2. or use File - Export - Export Chromatogram command to export raw data
(originally acquired data at selected rate not influenced by Peak Width
parameter)
