Dear Madams/Sirs,
Some customers are using GC or LC instruments without an AS and would
find very useful to be able to run sequences injecting each sample
manually.
Is there a feature in Clarity allowing such kind of operation? If so,
what is the recommended setup for this kind of operation?
Otherwise, a "blank" AS driver would have to give the ready signal to
Konikrom in order to send the next method in the sequence.
Best regards,
Arnau

Running a sequence without AS
Running a sequence without AS
Dear Arnau,
there is not a problem to run a sequence in Clarity without an autosampler. Even passive sequence will send the method to controlled instruments when a new line is activated.
With active sequence, the Ready out assigned digital output is activated (its state changed) - for not controlled autosamplers it is the signal to perform next injection. When the Start in signal is detected, the run is started and the Ready out signal is changed back to the initiall state. There is no difference, when the Start in signal comes from autosampler or from manual injector.
It is advisable to extend the run till the system is ready for next injection - if the nect injection is made before the previous run is finished, the method may not be send correctly before start of run. The use of Start-Restart option is not recommended when differering methods are used in sequence.
