Re: Long analysis with multiple methods
The above application was described in some detail https://theanalyticalscientist.com/app-notes/0014/automated-sw-solution-for-preparative-hplc/ The methods could be run using the Sequence table. The sequence will perform the methods automatically in order as specified in the table, starting a next ...

Re: Cut start of a chromatogram
Dear Carsten, 1) any reason to shift the retention times at all? As long as the time shift will be reproducible, it does not influence anything. 2) it is possible to perform some events before the run start, so it may be possible to synchronize start acquisition with turning of the valve - however i...

Re: Noise and Drift in nanoRIU units
Dear Rick, the noise and drift are generally dispayed with units used for the respective signal. The solution of your problem will depend on the way the signal is acquired: Signals aquired from the detector analog output through the A/D board have default units mV, they could be amended in the Syste...

Re: How to determine the purity of a peak
1) The peak purity profile for selected peak is displayed in the Peak Purity View pane of the PDA Chromatogram window. 2) Absorbance Threshold is used in the same way as Peak Purity Threshold to eliminate spectra with values below those limits (typically containing just noise) from the Peak Purity e...

Re: How to determine the purity of a peak
Peak Purity value is calculated as a match between the peak apex spectrum and all the spectra thorough the peak boundaries. Perfect match is represented by 1000. The values are plotted in the Peak profile window, the average is reported in the Result table. For pure peaks, the profile should be more...

Re: Automatic shutdown on Clarity with Agilent HPLC
Recommended approach for system shutdown after end of sequence is to create a shutdown method (with lamp off and stopped pumps) to be run as a last one in the sequence. However, the Agilent ICF control does not allow to switch lamps off from method (this was possible in the older Agilent 1100/1200 c...

Re: saturated peak marks in result table
Dear Sunil,
for this purpose the NGA extension is recomended, it is designed to calculate the calorific values according to the commonly used norms and enables to combine signals from multiple detectors

Re: pda functions
Dear Samira, my guess is the acquired chromatogram is not containing the spectral data for some reason (spectral detector not configured to instrument, spectral data acquisition not enabled in method, ...) Please copy the respective chromatogram as *.prm file to flash disc and send it from some comp...

Re: creating and matching library to unknown compouds
Dear Samira,
in the PDA window set the Spectral View and Spectral Library View.
In Spectral Library view you will see the table with spectra in currently opened library (Use Library, Open), the spectra could be displayed in the Spectral view by the Show checkbox
